Reviews

What Gainesville homeowners say

Reviews are the most useful thing a homeowner can read before hiring a roofer — and the easiest thing for a bad contractor to fake. Here is how we handle ours.

“They explained it”

The most common feedback: understanding why the roof failed, what the options were and what the price included — before anything was signed.

“They showed up”

Turning up when we said, calling when we were running late, and finishing the job on the day we promised.

“They cleaned up”

Daily debris removal, magnet sweeps and a yard left better than we found it — not a pile of shingles by the fence.

Where to read verified reviews

We do not publish unattributed quotes on this page. Verified reviews live on our Google Business Profile, where every reviewer had to be a real customer. Ask us for the direct link, or search Gainesville Roofing FL on Google. If you have hired us and have not left a review, we would be grateful — it is how other local homeowners find us.

Our review policy

Real names, real jobs, no incentives

We ask every customer for an honest review after the job, and we do not offer discounts, gifts or entries into a draw in exchange. We do not write reviews for customers, and we do not ask staff or family to post them.

We respond to every review, positive or negative. If something went wrong, we would rather fix it in public than argue about it. A three-star review that we resolved is more useful to a future customer than ten perfect ones nobody believes.

You can read our reviews on our Google Business Profile. If you have hired us and have not left one, we would be grateful — it is how local homeowners find us.

Why this page exists

Some roofing sites display a wall of unverifiable five-star quotes with no source. That is easy to produce and worthless to a homeowner. We would rather show fewer reviews, tied to a real profile, than manufacture social proof. When we have a substantial body of verified reviews, this page will link directly to them.

How we ask

Reviews, without the games

After completion

We ask once the job is finished and the site is clean — not before the final inspection, and never mid-project.

No incentives

No discounts, gift cards or prize draws. A review that was paid for is not a review; it is an advertisement.

Every review answered

We respond to positive and critical feedback, and we fix what is fixable. The response is part of the record.

Reading reviews critically

How to tell a real local roofer from a review farm

A five-star average means little on its own. These are the checks that actually reveal whether a roofing company is worth hiring:

  • Specificity. Real reviews mention a roof type, a problem, a timeline or a person. Vague praise is easy to buy.
  • Variety. A wall of identical five-star reviews posted in the same week is a pattern, not a reputation.
  • Responses. A company that replies to critical reviews — and fixes the issue — is more trustworthy than one with a perfect score and no engagement.
  • Recency. Reviews from the last six months tell you about the current crew, not the company that existed five years ago.
  • Verifiable profile. Reviews should live on a platform where the reviewer had to be a real customer, ideally linked from the company's own site.

Ask for a local reference too. A phone number and an address you can verify beat any star rating.

What we ask reviewers to include

If you have hired us, the most useful review mentions the type of roof, roughly where you are, what problem you had, and whether we did what we said we would. Honest detail helps the next homeowner far more than a generic five stars.

No incentives. We do not trade discounts for reviews, and we do not filter out negative ones. If we earned a three-star review, it stays up and we respond to it.
